Description

Also known as crepe or Malay ginger, this Costus species has one row of spirally arranged leaves. Late summer or early autumn brings unusual-looking flowers, forming large red cone-shaped bracts with crinkled, pure white flowers. Cold-hardy, it is root hardy down to 0ºF (-17.8ºC).
