Description

An impressively tall, rarely-seen multi-value plant, its hairy feathery foliage is traditionally collected in Crete as a wild vegetable. Fragrant lace-like flowers with deep purple or black centers form rose-flowered curved umbels, producing a remarkable structure resembling a bird's nest. A symbol of the region, it also serves as a source of natural medicine.
