Description

From May to July, this species exhibits cross-shaped white flowers on diminutive stalks, forming small cushions with shiny leaves. First described in 1802 by Johann Rudolf Suter, it's native to mountainous regions spanning the Iberian Peninsula, France, the Apennine Peninsula, Central Europe, eastern Central Europe, and the Balkan Peninsula.
