Description

Gladiolus flanaganii, a rare and unusual species, features brilliant red two-inch blooms on short spikes, with up to seven flowers appearing successively on each spike. Found on cliff faces in the high Drakensberg of South Africa, it earned the moniker "Suicide Lily" due to its perilous habitat. Easy to grow, it thrives in well-drained soil, often cultivated in clay pots.
