Eastern Prickly Pear cactus prefers full sun and sandy, dry conditions, flowering from June to July with stunning bright yellow blooms. After flowering, it produces edible red fruits. Seeds ripen for a minimum of 9 months, and the plant establishes easily by placing pads cutting-side down.
