Description

In spring, spectacular trusses of pink and white flowers hang between large, distinctive leaves with five or more long leaflets. Known as the horse-chestnut, it is unrelated to true chestnuts and is utilized in the traditional children's game conkers. The large, polished seeds are also said to repel spiders.
