This perennial poppy from the Mexican highlands boasts finely divided, grey-green linear lobes resembling Eschscholzia leaves. Solitary yellow cups with four overlapping petals, akin to tulips, grace the plant, flourishing in rocky habitats at elevations of 1500-2000 meters.
