More Information

Description

Large, showy flowers of lavender-blue to purple open above slender leaves, often mistaken for grass when not in bloom. Native to south-western Washington and north-western Oregon, its rhizomes spread slowly, causing the plant to grow in a tight clump. Its species name, tenax, means "tough," referring to the strong, fibrous leaves used by indigenous peoples for braiding.

Note

The number of seeds per packet is only an approximation, but will not vary much. Please inquire online before placing your order.
