Description

Liatris punctata, or Dotted Blazing Star, is native to the great plains and the Midwest, preferring well-drained, sandy soils and full sun. Its purple flowers attract native bees, butterflies, and Monarchs. Drought-tolerant, it makes an excellent cut flower with retained purple color when dried.
