Description

A beloved fan palm popular since Victorian times, it makes an excellent potted palm for homes or terraces. In warmer climates, it grows into a medium-sized tree with slender trunks and is cultivated in tropical and subtropical nurseries. The lime green leaves have elegantly drooping and curled tips, and the abundant blue fruits add to its appeal. Despite its common name, it's native to Japan's Ryukyu Islands, Volcano Islands, Southern Japan, Taiwan, and islands in the South China Sea.
