Known as Common Yellow Lake Sedge or Common Beaked Sedge, Carex utriculata boasts yellowish-green, hairless, thin leaves that topple over spikes during mid-summer bloom. Rhizomatous and potentially aggressive, it actively grows during cool soil temperatures in spring and fall.
