Description

Fen Panicled Sedge, a cool grass sedge, grows actively only during the cool temperatures of spring and fall. Native to much of the northern United States, its westernmost extent is Montana. Preferring full sun and thriving in wet, calcareous soils, it's found in meadows, marshes, and fens. Useful in groundcover, wetland restorations, bioswales, wet meadows, and rain gardens.
