Tall slender spikes of starry pale green and white flowers emerge incredibly early in the year, sometimes as early as Christmas. Known for its unique quality of having young flower shoots suitable for consumption as a vegetable, it is aptly named "Bath Asparagus" due to its historical abundance near the English city.
