Description

A surprisingly easy-to-grow species, this very rare penstemon exhibits densely crowded spikes of true lemon-yellow, standing out as the only genuinely yellow penstemon. In the wild, it thrives in moist open or wooded places, meadows, or by streams, mainly in the Rockies and regions from Montana and Alberta to British Columbia, Oregon, and the Wenatchees of Washington. Very few seeds have been collected.
