An extremely dwarf shrub native mainly to California, this bone-hardy plant displays evergreen blue-green tufts and attractive small bottle brush-like white flowers in summer. Thriving in sun or part shade with sharply drained soil, it fits well in troughs, crevice gardens, or scree beds.
