Description

It's found in wet or mesic prairies, savannas, woodland borders, and ditch or creek banks. Blooming for many weeks in late summer and fall, it attracts bees, beetles, butterflies, and skippers with its large composite flowers. The leaves have a pleasant sweet smell.
