Description

Critically Endangered with bone-hardiness, this Balkan endemic features pure white flowers. Sparse populations occur in meadows within coniferous forests and dwarf pine societies, primarily in the Rila mountains at 1500–1700 m altitude. Wider distribution includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, R Macedonia, and Serbia.
