Description

Carex gracillima, known as Graceful Sedge, prefers shady to semi-shady sites with medium to medium-wet soils. Recognizable by purple-hued basal leaf sheaths, it actively grows in spring and fall, dangling bead-like seeds from arching stems in summer.
