Featuring beautiful jagged-edged grey leaves thickly dusted with farina, this spectacular and rarely-encountered beauty unfolds whorls of bright yellow flowers. While thriving in a dry, protected spot outdoors, it becomes an amazing spectacle indoors or in an alpine house, standing considerable heat and drying. Originating from the Sphondylia section of primulas in hot places like Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the Sinai Peninsula, and Ethiopia, it bears a resemblance to the harder-to-grow Dionysia species.
