Description

This sturdy, densely shrubby Protea, erroneously named Protea repens in ancient times, attracts birds, bees, and other insects with its large deep red flowers. Later correctly named Protea mellifera, it produces sweet nectar, making it a valuable addition to wildlife gardens.
