Description

Classified as very rare in the UK, this slowly-spreading, semi-evergreen plant boasts flared, snapdragon-like, tubular flowers usually in white to cream, occasionally displaying rare pink or purple flushes. Resembling Prunella vulgaris, it differs with upper stem leaves cut into narrow lobes, thriving in calcareous grassland in Europe and North Africa.
