Description

Thriving in secret locations in the southern Chilean Andes, the extremely rare Tropaeolum polyphyllum, possibly not in cultivation, boasts perennial hardiness down to at least USA zone 8. Its scrambling stems, bearing finely divided blue-green foliage, annually produce masses of yellow flowers, resembling a dwarf T. polyphyllum and requiring well-drained soil or a spacious pot for optimal performance. The scarcity of seeds adds to its allure.
