Our cell-free technology platform breaks through complex plant protein production challenges

We provide a cell-free protein synthesis (CFPS) system, which is an in vitro system that uses exogenous mRNA or DNA as a template to synthesize the corresponding mRNA under the action of RNA polymerase and transcription factors, and other components and completes protein translation by adding amino acids, ATP and GTP to the system. Our CFPS system, as a new eukaryotic cell-free expression system, has outstanding advantages over the limitations of the live host system and can be used in protein screening and production in a short period, effectively solving the problem of difficult production of complex proteins. In addition, our CFPS system-related technologies can also be applied to protein high-throughput expression, protein microarray preparation, and other research fields. Currently, we provide wheat germ system, rice cell system, and tobacco BY-2 system, which are effectively used in cell-free plant protein synthesis research.
