In the process of human production, life, and other activities, a large amount of solid waste is generated, of which hazardous waste is the main component of solid waste. Generally, these hazardous wastes are corrosive. Their nature and types show diverse and complex characteristics, which will cause severe pollution to the air, water environment, and soil but also cause damage to human health.
Corrosion detection is the first step in the identification of hazardous solid waste. Currently, the standard method used by Lifeasible for solid waste corrosion determination is the glass electrode method, which can determine whether the solid waste is corrosive by the size of the pH value detected. This is a method with reliable and fast results, so we can quickly process a large number of samples to be tested in a short period, shortening the project cycle time for our customers.
Lifeasible can use the glass electrode method to detect the pH of solids, semi-solids, and concentrated liquids generated in production, operation, living and other activities, etc., and use it to assess the corrosiveness of the waste.
We will prepare three parallel experiments in conducting the test and repeat more than three times for each sample to ensure the pH change is less than 0.1 to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
Measurement uncertainty (a non-negative parameter characterizing the dispersion assigned to the measured value) is generated in every testing process. There is a relationship between the validity of the measured data and the uncertainty. Therefore, Lifeasible verifies the acceptability of the values at the end of the test to ensure accurate results, i.e., introduces data analysis of the relevant uncertainty in the conclusion of the measured corrosive data. Ultimately, the results are delivered to you only after rigorous data correction and analysis.
Lifeasible is not only an advocate and participant in environmental protection but also has the experience and expertise to provide waste corrosivity testing services to researchers and practitioners in environmental protection and waste management and disposal. Our uniqueness lies in the rigor of our data analysis and the reliability of our results. In addition to standard methods, we can perform chromatographic and mass spectrometric analyses.
