Carotenoids is an essential class of natural pigments, terpenoids, commonly found in animals, higher plants, fungi, algae, yellow, orange-red, or red pigments. Carotenoids are essential components of photosynthetic organisms. Carotenoids are powerful antioxidants that efficiently quench and scavenge free radicals generated in the body, play an essential role in cell membranes, and interact with other protein molecules.

Lifeasible has established a carotenoid analysis method based on LC-MS/MS external standard + isotope internal standard platform, which can detect multiple carotenoids. The method has low throughput, accurate characterization, and can accomplish absolute quantification of metabolites. What the carotenoids do?
