Complex vectors use a standardized backbone but are assembled from more complex components that need to be constructed. They are usually constructed in multiple steps and involve complex manipulation processes, such as amplifying large fragments, fusion of multiple fragments, gene synthesis, and targeted mutagenesis. For cloning other types of fragments, such as high GC fragments, simple repeats, or segmented repeat sequences, additional costs and lead times may be required.
Our vectors undergo stringent quality control steps to ensure the sequence is consistent with the design. Commonly used quality control methods include DNA purification, A260/280 assay, enzymatic characterization, Sanger sequencing, plasmid extraction from Glycerolactobacillus, and re-transformation.
If the customer chooses to provide the materials for vector construction, we will perform restriction endonuclease digestion and characterization of the vector backbone provided by the customer, as well as sequencing of critical regions for verification. These vectors are non-standard vectors, and the price of the vectors depends on the situation.
The final delivery form is E. coli, containing the target vector. For different needs, we can provide plasmid DNA extraction services in different sizes, including small extraction (>10 μg), medium extraction (>100 μg), large extraction (>300 μg), extra large extraction (>1 mg), and extra large extraction (>10 mg). For viral vectors, viral packaging is offered as a downstream service in various sizes.
